Local produce for local people. That’s what Onyx Farms is all about.

Consisting of one-half acre of fertile, Columbia County onyx silt loam soil, Onyx Farms is a garden located on the grounds of Blue Mountain Station.

We grow a variety of vegetables, herbs and flowers and make them available for purchase—both u-pick and we-pick—at various times throughout the growing season.

Hungry for spring greens, such as spinach, lettuce and chard? How about fresh herbs, like basil, parsley or cilantro? Looking to spruce up your space with a bouquet of zinnias, marigolds or sunflowers? Stop by Onyx Farms and see what’s in season! Don’t forget our pumpkin patch in the fall.

At Onyx Farms, we take pride in sourcing our seeds locally and growing our crops naturally, with no chemicals, pesticides or herbicides. We tend the ground with care, using hand tools rather than aggressive motorized tillers to preserve the integrity of our soft, loamy soil.

All that TLC translates to better tasting produce that’s grown right here in Dayton. It’s picked and produced fresh, without having to withstand the rigors of truck or train transport from far away.

When you want fresh, local produce or flowers, stop by Onyx Farms! We’d love to share a taste of our garden with you.
