economic benefits

The regional artisan grain cluster will make an immense positive impact on the the local economy. This project will lead to job growth, increased tax revenue, and overall regional prosperity.

Project will:

  • Diversify the local economy

  • Create new avenues of economic growth

  • Open a different market for local growers, offering higher profits

  • Contribute value to locally produced grain and barley

Generating more tax revenue will help fund essential community programs and improvements. Attracting 46 jobs and fostering a substantial economic output will improve our community’s vitality and stability.

Agriculture is a huge industry for Columbia County. This grain cluster will help support our local grain growers.

It will enable growers to take advantage of a new consumer market for potential higher profit in local and regional markets. By developing vertically integrated enterprises, additional family members may be included in the farm and food business venture.
